This Privacy Policy explains how Bito ("Bito", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you order from us through our website bitopakistan.pk, the Bito mobile app, WhatsApp, by phone, or at our restaurant at 20 Majha Block R2, Shadewal Road, Johar Town, Lahore.

By using our website, app or services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: your name, mobile number, email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form; our staff cannot see them.
• Order details: the items you order, special instructions, order type (delivery, pickup or dine-in), table number, number of guests, and the time of your order.
• Delivery details: your delivery address, the location pin you choose on the map, and the name and phone number of the person receiving the order.
• Payment details: the payment method you choose, the amount paid, and transaction references. If you pay by bank transfer, we keep the screenshot or reference you send us as proof of payment. We do not store your card numbers or banking passwords.
• Walk-in and phone orders: the name and phone number you give our staff, so we can call you if there is a problem with your order.
• Feedback: ratings, reviews, complaints and messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage information: your IP address, browser or device type, the pages you visit, and the times you visit.
• Location: if you allow it, your device location, used only to set your delivery address and check that we deliver to you.
• Cookies and local storage: small files and browser storage that keep you signed in, remember your cart, delivery or pickup choice and display preferences, and help us understand how our website is used. See section 6.

2. How we use your information

• To prepare, deliver and hand over your orders, and to tell you about their status.
• To contact you about your order by phone, SMS, WhatsApp, email or app notification.
• To process payments, confirm bank transfers, issue receipts and handle refunds.
• To create and manage your account, saved addresses, order history and, where offered, loyalty points, wallet balance and referral rewards.
• To answer your questions and resolve complaints.
• To prevent fraud, fake orders and misuse of our services, and to keep our riders and staff safe.
• To improve our menu, website, app and service.
• To send you offers and news, where you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.
• To keep financial and tax records and meet our other legal obligations.

3. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our service:

• Our riders: your name, phone number and delivery address, so they can deliver your order.
• Payment providers: banks, digital wallets and payment gateways (for example DPay, JazzCash or Easypaisa, where available) process your payment under their own security and privacy terms.
• Service providers: companies that host our website and app, send SMS, email and push notifications, provide maps and location services, or help us analyse website use. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
• Delivery platforms: if you order Bito through a third-party platform such as foodpanda, that platform shares your order details with us, and its own privacy policy also applies.
• Government and tax authorities: invoice and sale information required by the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) or other authorities under Pakistani law.
• Legal requests: law enforcement agencies, courts or regulators when we are legally required to, or when needed to protect our rights, our customers or our staff.

4. How long we keep your information

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Order, payment and invoice records are kept for as long as Pakistani tax and accounting laws require. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

5. How we protect your information

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access limited to staff who need it, and regular backups. No system connected to the internet is completely secure, so please keep your password private and tell us straight away if you believe your account has been misused.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and your browser's local storage to:

• keep you signed in and keep your cart between visits;
• remember your delivery or pickup choice and your light or dark theme;
• measure how our website is used, so we can improve it.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the website, such as signing in and the cart, may not work properly.

7. Your choices and rights

• Access and correction: you can view and update your profile and saved addresses in your account at any time.
• Account deletion: you can delete your account from the Bito app, or ask us to delete it. We will remove your personal information, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices).
• Marketing: you can stop marketing messages at any time by following the opt-out instructions in the message or by contacting us. We will still send messages about orders you place.
• Location and notifications: you can turn off location access and notifications in your device settings.

8. Children

Our services are intended for people aged 18 or over. Younger users should order with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for any other purpose.

9. Information stored outside Pakistan

Some of our service providers, such as hosting, notification and maps providers, may store or process information on servers outside Pakistan. We only use providers that protect information to a reasonable standard.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. If we make significant changes, we will let you know on our website or app.
